Twice a month, Leichhardt Council plays host to author talks at its local libraries. This month’s author is also a local – Glebe-based Sandy Bröcking, a health professional who used to be heavily overweight who, after seeing her patients also battling weight issues, was driven to find a way to help them change for the better. She talks about her new book, ‘Think Smart and Lose Weight’, at Leichhardt Library from 6.30pm on Wednesday, May 4, and at Balmain Library from 6.30pm on Tuesday, May 24. Events are free but bookings are essential; call 9367 9266 (Leichhardt) or 9367 9211 (Balmain).
