A previous trip presented us with fur, porn and genocide. Currently you’d be treated to one of the more accessible collections of Aboriginal art we’ve ever seen, not just visually striking but socially engaging, environmentally aware and historically challenging. Next time, who knows? Where other museums lull you to sleep, the MCA provides a sensory slap in the face that shocks your brain out of its everyday complacency. Whether you’re moved, disturbed, mesmerised or given a good laugh, you’re guaranteed to come out a little more thoughtful than before you went in. (NH)
