BY STEPHEN NICOLAZZO

Parisian Caroline Nin brings an international treat to Newtown in Hymne A Piaf (Piaf Revisited), a “spine-chilling” cabaret paying tribute to beloved icon and songstress, Edith Piaf.

Following a sell-out season at the Sydney Opera House, Nin graces the boards of The Vanguard, a prolific breeding ground for live performance as part of their La Crème Series.

Nin’s overwhelming presence within the walls of this intimate venue will undoubtedly conjure the ghosts of France on King Street providing an evening of nostalgia and celebration through song. If you adore Piaf’s music or are searching desperately for lively and intimate cabaret, then experience Caroline Nin.

July 14. The Vanguard, 42 King Street, Newtown. $40-130, 9020 6959 or thevanguard.com.au
