Suzy Spoon is the host of Iron Deficient Chef, an internet based vegetarian cooking program: www.irondeficientchef.com. She’s been a vegetarian since she was sixteen (inspired by a visit to a chicken farm in New Zealand). In a previous life she owned & managed the popular vegetarian café MacDonnas in Newtown.

My favourite thing to order is their amazing vegan Laksa with mouth watering soy protein pieces and three different types of tofu – it’s such a great treat, I can’t get enough of it.

Best Organic Food Shop: About Life
I think About Life is the best because it’s a one-stop organic everything shop. They’ve got a great selection of seasonal organic fresh fruit and vegetables, and packaged foods as well as organic household products. There’s a herbalist counter and a café. But the best thing is their huge range of Fair Trade products, including the most delicious brand of chocolate-coated Goji berries I’ve ever tasted.
