All your favourites will be there. Ron and Ron, Jed and Dave, Billy and Johnny … oh, and Hale and Pace, of course. These stalwarts of comedic stand-up met in teaching school in Eltham, London, and now could probably write a textbook on Dad jokes (with a whole appendix entitled ‘Lame Puns’), prime-time parodies and poker-faced characters that have long since grown cultural legs of their own. They’ve been on cult TV show Young Ones, they’ve been crowned Best of the Edinburgh Fringe – but what we all know and love (or loathe) them for is their crude exploits on the Hale and Pace Show, in all its cat-microwaving, baby-vomiting, Swedish genital-suggesting glory. And next Saturday, it’s your turn to do Ron, Ron.
