Timeless elegance and historical significance is all well and good but let’s be honest, we simply love seeing an old favourite get a proper makeover. The Oaks is strutting its stuff just in time for spring and a new menu accompanies this new look. Multiple hand-picked cuts of local beef lead the charge, with an option to get your steak cooked for you in the Bar & Grill or head outside to the famed courtyard and show off your skills on the over-sized barbeque. With plenty of outside tables in dappled sun, and seemingly endless cosy booths wrapped in luxurious dark wood, you can have your steak and eat it too. (JJ)
