FEEDFEED

Performance art doesn’t get much better than this. Sit down to dinner with an artist in New York in this huge cross-Atlantic dinner party.  Sydney-siders can come along to Peloton Gallery in Chippendale, and converse with a simultaneous Brooklyn dinner, in real time. The US dinner party will be projected onto the walls of the gallery, and a live Twitter feed will allow us to interact as if we were all sitting at the same table. “We are basically going to a party in New York without actually being there,” says organiser Janis Ferberg, “Guests can experience a window into a Brooklyn art scene and revel in the more absurd aspects of society these days.” Artist Max Bartlett will respond directly to the tweets given to him, and use the interactive technologies to connect groups of people who otherwise wouldn’t. Guests are even invited to bring along food to share, themed around the internet of course. Grab a recipe from the website such as Spaghetti and Tweetballs, Wikileeks and Mash-Up Potatoes. If you’re not able to make it down, you can take part through Twitter using #FEEDFEED.

Sep 17, 11am, Peloton Gallery, 19-25 Meaghre St, Chippendale, free, portalforvideo.com/portfolio/feedfeed/
