Elvis Presley had it, Otis Redding had it, arguably Tom Jones has it. Undeniably Dan Sultan has it too; that undefinable charisma that can’t be taught, learnt or imitated. A stage presence that demands attention and inspires adulation, Watch the women swoon and the men shake their head in admiration. With the voice of Archie Roach and the hips of Elvis Presley, Dan Sultan sweats and swings on-stage as his seven-piece band (including a hot brass section) run through their country, rock’n’soul roots behind him. Returning to Sydney for one-night only (thank you John Belushi) at the Sydney Opera House Studio on July 11th, Dan Sultan and band will preview their upcoming second album. Equally capable of heart-wrenching and hip-shaking, this is a performance not to be missed.
