HEY GERONIMO – HEY GERONIMO

Hey Geronimo are a mash-up of offcuts from Brisbane indie-pop bands, Blame Ringo, Montpelier and The Boat People. The five-piece supergroup have released a self-titled EP of five catchy, hook-laden tunes that will have you humming all day long. Their infectious first hit Why Don’t We Do Something, has been everywhere from radio airwaves to the AFL’s new television adverts. It features energetic ivory tinkling and lyrics you can’t help but sing along to. Carbon Affair is due to be the next release and it is clear from the sound of the peppy guitar solo and playful hand-claps, that it will be just as popular as their debut offering. There is the feel of early Weezer on Dreamboat Jack which isn’t to say they are like the American indie Kings. Hey Geronimo have their own feel, which sounds more like summer on our very own sunshine coast. I Got No Money will have people bopping along with the thumping drums and the final track, Co-op Bookshop sounds like an early Paul McCartney effort. Hey Geronimo have the perfect soundtrack to inject some happy vibes into a dull day.
