Blonde Redhead return to Australia for the first time since dropping Penny Sparkle, their twisted, noisy take on dream pop. Throughout their 17-year career, Blonde Redhead have carved out a unique and ever-shifting sound grounded in singer/guitarist Kazu Makino’s haunting vocals. Their moody lyrics hover over the bittersweet melodies and magnetic rhythms created by twin brothers Amedeo and Simone Pace. Blonde Redhead are headlining the Laneway Festival on February 6th, and also doing a one-off side show at the Concert Hall while they’re here, presented by Popfrenzy. (AF)
