As the writer of Six Feet Under, Lost and Brothers and Sisters, Craig Wright has created some of television’s best television. His honest and darkly funny work even won him an Emmy Award nomination. Luckily for us he turned his hand to theatre and this script is one of his funniest. Two happily married couples live out the everyday until two of them begin a passionate affair. “The play is set around one bed … These are people in their most private moments,” says director Byron Kaye. “He paints a beautiful, funny but painfully real picture of four people struggling with the choices in their lives.” Dark, a little racy and brimming with intimacy, the play explores morality and the complexity of relationships. The cast includes Amy Mathews (Home and Away) and Sebastian Goldspink (Heartbreak High). An extra plus? Wednesdays at the Darlinghurst Theatre are Wallet-friendly with $20 tickets for artists and industry.
