It might take 5 or ten or more years, but this kind of infrastructure is inevitably followed by high rise. The total charm of Bondi comes from the fact that it has managed -mostly- to avoid the damaging high-density development of most of Australia's east coast towns and cities. I'm happy to have a bit of a delay getting and and out of BONDI, because that comes with lesser population pressure.
