Johnny [From the Burbs] gets political in his latest EP Propaganda. Drawing on its name, the EP addresses topics such as prejudiced opinions influenced by the government and using the news as a political weapon.

Although the songs may be a bit dark at times, the overall message is not negative. Rather, the songs serve as hopeful advocates for causes such as refugee rights.

This EP is a collection of politically charged songs such as Narc, a screed against the unjust societal hierarchy, and Steppin, which mocks the vanity of humanity.

More than just a political vendetta, Propaganda showcases the musical intuition and talent of Johnny [From the Burbs]. If you’re looking for quality hip-hop that packs more of a political punch, then Propaganda is the perfect fit for you. (EE)
