Almost five years and a second child since their multi-award winning Rattling Bones, husband and wife duo Chambers and Nicholson have released their second album, Wreck and Run, a 13-track carnival ride through the many tempos, moods and rollicking twangs of country music. Best of all, authenticity is stamped across all the love ballads of the album. In the opening hymn-like prelude Til Death Do Us Part, Chambers and Nicholson croon beautiful harmonies to each other that resonate with stillness over a soft accordion drone. Juxtapose this against the rapidly-picked banjo and sawing fiddle of Sick as a Dog and Wreck and Run happily covers each end of the country music spectrum.
