In the latest movie to be part of the new 3D technology phenomenon, Monsters vs. Aliens is a fun reimagination of the sci-fi and superhero genres. When Susan Murphy is hit by a radioactive meteor on her wedding day, she becomes one of a top-secret group of monsters, hidden away from the public by the American military. But when the evil and self-obsessed alien Gallaxhar attacks the Earth, our only chance of survival lies in their hands. Adults will enjoy references to the Axel F. theme and Dr Stangelove, as well as brilliant voice casting, including Hugh Laurie (House) and Will Arnett (Arrested Development). At the end of the day, however, this movie is all about the kids: and they will love it.
