SYDNEY FRINGE COMEDY

NSW’s premier festival for alternative, emerging and undiscovered artists, The Sydney Fringe, is back this September and that means for a month the Factory Theatre in Marrickville becomes the home of raunchy, edgy and downright naughty comedy.
This year’s line up features a mix of new comers, old hats and a couple of faces you might recognise but can’t remember how. The curator’s have been hard at work selecting a wide range of comedic acts that represent the current face of Australian comedy. From the hilarious musings of Damien Power to the musical gifts that are Smart Casual and all the riotous improvisational skills of Bear Pack.
It’s certainly an excellent opportunity to get out and about and whether you’re supporting young talent, pushing your comfort zone or just using it as an excuse to get out of Newtown, there’s plenty of lolz to be had.
Until Sep 30, The Factory Theatre, 105 Victoria Road, Marrickville, ticket prices vary, 9020 6980, 2012.sydneyfringe.com
