Open to all irrespective of sexual leaning or hirsuteness, the Harbour City Bears not only put on the largest gay festival for bears and cubs in the Southern Hemisphere – the, cough, Bear Essentials – but they are also for the second year running hosting an exhibition of photos, prints and paintings from some talented artist bears in the appropriately titled Monstrosity Gallery. Opening night promises the appearance of a very special mystery guest … we wonder, will it be a Big Bear, a Middle-sized Bear or a Wee Bear? Only one way to find out. (AB)
From Feb 23-Mar 1, Monstrosity Gallery, 93 Bourke St, Woolloomooloo, free, monstrositygallery.wordpress.com
