This is an intimate, bustling filmic journey through multiple generations of a fearless, talented and decidedly uncommon Australian family. The youngest, Christa Hughes, of Machine Gun Fellatio fame, is now also a ring master with Circus Oz. Her father, Dick, is a revered jazz star, and her grandfather was a charismatic raconteur and foreign correspondent who was also rumoured to be an international spy. These mavericks with a passion for performance are joined by a bevy of well-known friends and colleagues who help tell their inimitable story. Presented by those prolific film fans, Popcorn Taxi, the screening includes a Q&A session immediately after the show with the director, Brendan Young, and Christa Hughes herself.

Mon Nov 9, 7pm sharp, Greater Union Bondi Junction, $16-18, 9212 7222, popcorntaxi.com.au
