YOUR SISTER’S SISTER

Lynn Shelton’s latest film, explores the endearing story of a close friendship between Jack (Mark Duplass) and Iris (Emily Blunt). After the death of his brother, Iris sends Jack to her father’s remote cabin for isolation and self-reflection, but Iris’ sister Hannah (Rosemarie DeWitt) is there escaping from her own troubles. What follows is a series of events that brings deeper feelings and revelations to the surface and threatens to change their relationships forever.

Blunt always bring her best work, whether it’s a Hollywood blockbuster or gritty indie flick and Your Sister’s Sister is no different. The biggest disappointment is that the personal journey’s that take each character to the cabin weren’t followed through to conclusion, which makes the ending feel rushed. ***
